Travel Diaries: Coffee Trip 2024

Visiting coffee growers in Northern Peru to check the harvest. It is looking good, the plants are charged and it promises to be a good harvest. With the international coffee pricing edging up it might be a good year for the growers. Our organic growers need that. Luckily there are now also schemes being developed that reward coffee growers for their green cover with carbon credits. We need a lot more easy-to-access schemes like this where organics is truly rewarded for its positive contribution to the environment.

We present an overview of the primary plant species within the Coffea genus, situated within the large family of Rubiaceae plant. There are over 120  species of Coffea. Below 4 of the better known species and subspecies. There are many coffee cultivars derived from these original species and subspecies.

Rebranding IncaFé: How it started and where we are today

This year will see some big changes for IncaFé . We are more committed than ever to promote organic coffee as a more sustainable and better beverage. We want to be clearer in our messaging and purpose and that is promoting organics being better in taste and better for you, the farmers, the environment and combatting climate change. With that come some difficult decisions. We will announce them as they come and see our blogs. To reflect these changes we are also refreshing our logo and packaging.
