Shade-grown coffee forest

IncaFé Organic Coffee is a Certified B Corp

We are proud to be B Corp™ certified, and we'll keep working to deserve it.

Behind the certification

Certified organic. Shade-grown. Drum roasted in Taranaki. Living Wage Employer. Long partnerships at origin, in countries like Peru, India, Indonesia and Ethiopia.

IncaFé Organic Coffee is a family-owned, New Zealand-based, specialty coffee company. Since day one, it has sustainability at heart, from sourcing the best organic coffee beans, directly from the coffee farmers, to the sustainable packaging, to reducing and offsetting their carbon footprint, to looking after their own team and community.

Becoming a Certified B Corporation™ in August 2026 with a 111.3 score makes us proud of what we do. But this is not the end. We will strive to always be and do better. We are committed to be verified as meeting standards for social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

Our current overall B Impact™ score is 111.3. It's a marker on the way. The work continues on the farm, at the roastery, and in how we run the business.

Questions

Straight answers

Is the coffee B Corp certified?

B Corp is a company certification, not a product one — so whenever you see it, it’s telling you something about the business behind the brand, not just the item you are holding.

What is a Certified B Corporation™?

Certified B Corporations, or B Corps, envision a better economic system where businesses can benefit people, communities, and the planet. They choose long-term investments over quick wins, and measure their success based on the positive impact they create. Driven by a desire to create an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy, the B stands for ‘Benefit’, which means Certified B Corporations care about people and the planet, alongside profit.

Companies verified for social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. The assessment is reviewed about every three years. It is ongoing work.

What is the B Impact™ score?

Certified B Corps are businesses of all shapes and sizes, across the world, who are not just talking about having a positive impact, but that are making sure their impact is tangible, measurable and transparent. They measure their impact across five ‘Impact Areas’ including: Workers, Customers, Governance, Environment, and Community.

Based on the B Impact assessment, IncaFé Organic Coffee earned an overall score of 111.3. Certification requires 80. The five impact areas (Governance, Workers, Community, Environment and Customers) add up to this overall score. The median for ordinary businesses is 50.9. Does the coffee change?

Not at all. It’s the same organic coffee, roasted in the same location by the same hands. The certification looks at how our business is run.
